In the past, navigation systems relied heavily on pre-defined algorithms and geometric models. Systems like GPS or GLONASS used simple trilateration to calculate positions based on the time it took for signals to travel between satellites and receivers. These models, while incredibly precise, were rigid and susceptible to the challenges of real-world environments: atmospheric interference, multipath effects, and signal degradation.
But in recent years, something revolutionary has been emerging in the world of navigation systems. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are now transforming the way we understand and perform navigation. What used to be a realm dominated by static mathematical models is now being infused with the power of data-driven adaptability.
